San Francisco has a lot of well known landmarks. The Golden Gate Bridge, The Pyramid, Coit Tower, the Cable Cars, Fisherman's Wharf, the Cliff House, the Conservatory of Flowers, blah blah blah. But there is only one that can be seen from nearly every neighborhood of the city, and from places quite distant as well, and that's the Sutro Tower. Probably very few people even think of it when they think about SF, (Oh, yes, we had a delightful vacation in San Francisco, and that Tower!) yet it dominates the skyline as few other urban landmarks do. After a while it disappears from everyday life, but I wanted to find out just how ubiquitous it really is, so I've decided to just take a picture of it - with my phone - wherever I happen to be. Clicking the photo shows the location on a google map.
